"Seven years on and we went back to Mike to see if we could improve our site. After several changes and with his advice, we moved to SquareSpace Version 7.1. What a difference to the site. Our members love the new site. I like it because of some of the new features: colour, linking pages and most of all with Mike's tuition doing some shared screen sessions, the ability to drop in text or images into pages. As I've said before, I have the knowledge that there's backup if I do a cock-up!! We look forward to our new season and the many viewers of our new website who, in the past, all commented on how good it looks. Well, it now looks even better thanks to Mike's expertise."

"Mike’s knowledge of website design was hugely helpful to personalise dragonflyforge.co.uk and he listened and adapted it as we requested.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mike to others in need of support in website design."

Chaceley Village
"Looking to develop a new website for our Chaceley Village Hall (a registered charity) we came across Mike Williams in a most unlikely manner - through a casual conversation with a craftsman from Bredon’s Norton who was constructing a flood wall at my house in Chaceley. The builder mentioned that Mike (JustThe Basics) had successfully created the website for Bredon’s Norton village and for a number of other local businesses.
As a charitable institution in a small village (~100 inhabitants), JTB offered us the means to develop our new website efficiently and swiftly - without incurring the inevitable complexities and high costs of dealing with bigger, remote suppliers.
Starting from a written brief and subsequent one-to-one discussions, we have recently taken our new website live. Working closely with Mike Williams, the site has expanded to become a medium which not only promotes the Village Hall and its amenities but now also explores Chaceley’s origins and history.
After a sterling career developing websites and online presence for large international companies, Mike has embraced localisation. He is now sharing his talent, expertise and hard-earned experience to help local small businesses promote their offering online.  The company name ‘JustTheBasics’ defines the essence of Mike’s product and his refreshing approach. Simplicity is the watchword. Don’t over-complicate. Strip back the process to remove any unneeded distractions.
Added to that is Mike’s engaging personality. Knowledgeable and experienced, he communicates frankly and personably. He is also flexible and consistently swift to respond to questions and comments.
It has been a pleasure to work on this project with Mike Williams. Our thanks for his valuable contribution."

“Mike is a real gem!"
"Adverts on TV make it look so easy to set up a website and perhaps you can get lulled into a false sense of security here! But it's not just setting the website up, which can be daunting enough, it's understanding what might be happening in the background, where do I get to the useful information about who is visiting the website, how long do they stay, what do they look at?
All these questions seem logical but if you are a complete beginner, like me, how do you get any kind of understanding about all the functions and features which might be possible to help you as your business develops? And what happens if the website breaks? I realised I didn’t know where to begin in terms of setting up something that would be more than just a glossy front page…
Mike to the rescue! He understands that beginners don’t know about the true power that can be unleashed. He realises that someone trying to get their business off the ground is rushing around doing a hundred things and a lot of business processes might be completely alien to them. Mike ensured from the start that he understood what I wanted to achieve as an end result, and then he delivered something so much better than I could have wished for.
He’s an intelligent man and he quickly understood what our specialist business was all about and made very useful suggestions – acting as a great sounding board. A first class service, I can highly recommend Mike.”

“Mike Willians of ‘Just The Basics’ - A real hidden Gem!!!"
"Well, not so much a hidden Gem but a fantastic Web Designer, now able to release his many talents to the general public and business.
I knew our business website desperately needed updating and an improved professional look. One of those things I’d put off, fearing a lack of time to assist in very busy times. Mike instantly took that concern away, when he first arrived at our company to discuss building our website, he was soon taking photos, gathering information and I could almost see him building the website as we spoke!
Mike made it all look so simple, after a few phone calls, messages & a couple of brainstorming meetings Mike was able to go on and complete our website. The finished product truly left me amazed, somehow Mike had reached into my mind, my business and created a professional, direct website that targets our customer base perfectly and allows anyone to see what we are about and the services we have to offer.
Mike really listened to our requirements and also came into the company to tweak our computer systems to ensure everything was running smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble and he was incredibly easy to talk to and always there if I had any questions."

Severn Seating
“I have known Mike Williams for many years and I asked him in 2018 if he would create a website for my business Severn Seating which was growing and needed a more professional approach for my customers and potential customers.  His years spent developing websites for large organisations are invaluable and his expertise and professional and personnel approach are not found in larger companies.
When the website was finished, I was amazed at how good it looked and how easy it was to move around and look at what you wanted to see. All the information and photos were there and very easy to locate. We have all experienced websites that are difficult to navigate and frustrating that in the end you just give up. Not the Severn Seating website.
Since it was up and running, I have had business from all over the country including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Well done Mike, you are a star and extremely clever. I would have no hesitation in recommending you. Good luck for the future."

Bredon Bowling Club
“I can’t believe it’s just over 6 years that Bredon Bowling Club attempted to put a website together with the help of Mike Williams of "Just The Basics."
His expertise and ability to teach the novice how to run a website has become more apparent in how our website has developed.
This year we have had more people join than ever (23) through the contact page and looking at the website. New members have commented that the format and design of the web page drew them to Bredon B.C.
What I would finally say is that the ability to fix mistakes you have made and run ideas of improvement to your site through Mike Williams is peace of mind for any Administrator. “

Bredon's Norton Village
The Bredon’s Norton Village Hall Committee approached Mike at Just.The.Basics.co.uk to discuss how we could better promote the services and availability of the village hall to a wider community. JTB suggested building a website for the Village Hall detailing all its features and including a downloadable booking form and T&Cs on the site. This quickly expanded to a website that covered aspects of the whole village. The site has done what was intended. It has raised awareness of the village hall and we have received many enquiries and subsequent bookings from clubs, societies and individuals that we would not previously have had access to. JTB continues to maintain the site for us and regularly prompts us to freshen the content and highlights the content that is working or not working as indicated by the site’s analytics. We are indebted to JTB for bringing us into the twenty-first century.”
